Reproduction is an official journal of the Society for Reproduction and Fertility. It is a leading global journal that publishes original research articles, reviews and point of view articles devoted to reproductive and developmental biology, and reproductive medicine. The journal has average monthly page views of 25,700.

Reproduction is a hybrid open-access journal and authors of subscribing institutions receive a 50% discount on open-access article processing charges (see below).

Bioscientifica is committed to making the research published in our journals accessible to the widest possible audience. We’ve introduced our ‘Read and Publish’ agreement as an alternative to the traditional subscription model. Find out more on the Bioscientifica librarian information page.

Institutions who sign up to the agreement get unlimited access to our four hybrid journals and archives; plus free open-access publishing for corresponding authors in these titles. At the moment, this deal is only available to institutions in the UK, and is available to order through JISC.

Consortium and multi-site licences

Bioscientifica published journal prices are for single site access only. If you would like to extend access to additional sites or subscribe through a consortium, please get in touch with sales@bioscientifica.com for a multisite quote.

Reduced open-access article processing charges for authors at subscribing institutions

Corresponding authors submitting to the following Bioscientifica journals are entitled to a 50% discount on open-access article processing charges (APCs) if their institution holds a current subscription to that journal:

Subscribers are not able to amend their own IP details, so please send any updates to sales@bioscientifica.com.

Institutional branding

Bioscientifica now offers institutions the option to upload their logo/brand and name, thereby showcasing the journal content they pay for on behalf of users. The branding appears in the top right corner of content pages (abstract and full text) when users access content to which the institute subscribes.

Bioscientifica endorses KBART (NISO KBART website/UKSG Information Hub) and is a registered participant. For link-resolver suppliers, all details pertaining to our titles are available for download as TXT or XLS files that conform to the KBART Phase I Recommended Practice.

Bioscientifica's journals are indexed in Ex Libris Summon and Primo, and EBSCO Discovery.

Digital preservation

Bioscientifica and the Society for Reproduction and Fertility are committed to the long term preservation of the digital scholarly record and participate in LOCKSS and Portico. Articles for which authors selected the open-access option are also preserved in PubMed Central (and mirrors).

Usage stats

Bioscientifica provides COUNTER-compliant usage reports. These are available via the Bioscientifica account management portal at https://ams.bioscientifica.com

Your account username and password will have been sent to the email address supplied by the library. This will allow you to download COUNTER-compliant usage data and check the correct details are registered.
